Pain d'Avignon, headquartered in Massachusetts, is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for individuals with disabilities. We are continually improving the user experience for everyone and applying the relevant accessibility standards to make our website usable for all visitors, in line with the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and applicable Massachusetts state accessibility laws.
Our Goal
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA, the standard recognised by the U.S. Department of Justice for ADA digital compliance. We recognise that some areas of our website may not yet fully meet these standards, and we are actively working to identify and remediate them.
Measures Taken
As part of our ongoing commitment, we have implemented the following:
Descriptive alternative text on images to support screen reader users
Clear, descriptive labels on interactive buttons and call-to-action elements
A logical heading structure (H1, H2, H3) on every page to support assistive navigation
Sufficient colour contrast between text and background, in line with WCAG AA guidance
Keyboard-navigable menus, forms and interactive elements
Visible focus indicators on links and buttons for keyboard users
A third-party accessibility widget providing user-controlled tools and settings
Conformance Status
This website is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Partial conformance means some parts of the content may not yet fully meet the standard. We are committed to ongoing improvement and welcome any feedback that helps us do better.
Reasonable Accommodations
If you are unable to access any content, feature or function of this website due to a disability, we will provide reasonable accommodations to ensure equal access. Please contact us using the information below and we will work with you to provide the information, item or transaction you seek through an alternative communication method that is accessible.
External Links
Our website contains links to external websites. While we aim to connect you to valuable resources, we cannot guarantee or control the accessibility of these external sites.
Known Limitations
Despite our best efforts, some content may still present accessibility barriers. We are actively reviewing the following: some embedded third-party content (such as reservation widgets and forms) may not yet fully meet accessibility standards; some legacy images may not yet have descriptive alternative text. If you encounter any accessibility issue not listed here, please let us know.
Assessment Approach
The accessibility of this site has been evaluated through self-assessment. We intend to commission a formal third-party accessibility audit as part of our ongoing programme.
