Shipping
If you would like to enjoy our breads and you do not live in our neighborhood or close to any store we supply, or you would like to surprise someone with a gift, please call us so we can organize a delivery with a selection of your favorite breads.
We ship our bread with UPS or we can use another company that you have an account with.
For such orders we kindly ask you to call a few days in advance or by 11 am the latest if you want your bread shipped the next day. We do not ship on Fridays (and in some cases on Thursdays) as the delivery would not be made until Monday.
If you live in the same UPS zone as us, we ship the bread ground and you will get it the next day while it is still fresh. We always ship the bread that is made that morning to get the freshest product to you.
If you live outside our UPS zone we recommend next day air as our product has no preservatives and is all natural and does not have a very long shelf life. However, if the shipment can arrive within 2 days with ground delivery (which is most cost effective) this can be done too.
We require for all orders and shipping charges to be paid in advance with credit card or check.
Here are some tips before you make your decision:
Larger loaves stay fresher. The hard crust preserves the moisture inside. The Country Long 3lb or the Country Round 3lb or 5lb is perfect for this. For larger gatherings we also have a Sourdough round 10lb. Cranberry Pecan, Raisin Pecan and Seven Grain Loaves have ingredients that also keep them more moist and fresh than the regular white dough. Because of the shipment costs some of our customers order larger quantities at a time. If you decide to do this and at the same time want to enjoy the breads for a longer period of time, we recommend you freeze the bread that is not going to be consumed right away. Our breads freeze very well but you need to freeze them while they are fresh. Make sure that the bread is preserved in a sealed plastic bag so it does not collect the frost and other food flavors from your freezer. When defrosting, leave the bread at room temperature while it defrosts on its own. If the bread is left in your bread basket for a couple of days you can sprinkle it with water and heat it in your oven to regain the hard crust and moisture inside.
